Capitalisation is from the youtube trailer title. Youtube trailer titles have been known to use invalid capitalisation in the past, so this may change in future, but is currently the best known source. The trailer clearly shows "Saints Row", and not "Saints Row IV". -452 (talk) 18:21, August 29, 2014 (UTC)

It has been 2 days and we already have conflicting information. The description for the challenge "Gat - Time Played" is "Hey, this is called "Gat out of Hell" right? Only makes sense you spend time as me."
Since the majority of Saints Row text is UPPERCASE FOR NO GOOD REASON, this may be the only mixed case example in the game. Time will tell. I say we keep the current title until we have something more definitive. -452 (talk) 04:16, September 1, 2014 (UTC)
Wikipedia's article is also named Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.

Do they have a source for that? -452 (talk) 06:29, September 15, 2014 (UTC)
All references mention Gat Out of Hell only, so that's a no.

Thanks, I left a message on the wp talk page asking what their source is.
Better than youtube: The announcement posts on the 3 official websites all use Gat Out of Hell, as I'm sure the Press Release does. I did notice that the tumblr and twitter accounts keep using "Gat out of Hell", but those rank pretty low on the reliably scale.
BTW, I think it's hilarious that you basically just said "wikipedia does it this way". :P

As it turns out, Wikipedia didn't have a source. -452 (talk) 13:10, January 23, 2015 (UTC)

Listing all in-game uses:

  • The logo is all-caps.
  • The name used in the main title newticker is "Saints Row: Gat out of Hell"
  • The name used on the xbox menu is "SR: Gat out of Hell"
  • The name used in an achievement description is "Saints Row: Gat out of Hell"

I'll continue adding to this list, but the main menu uses is definite, so I've updated all pages, links, and categories. There are very likely still some incorrect capitalisations in non-link text. -452 (talk) 13:10, January 23, 2015 (UTC)

I have now renamed 245+ files to use the proper capitalisation. -452 (talk) 06:32, January 24, 2015 (UTC)

Trivia confusion...[]

This is like saying 'Excluding WW1 and WW2, WW3 is the first world war in human history.' I get that Gat out from hell is a stand alone game, but it's still considered DLC is it not? Just like Total Control and Money Shot? If others disagree with me, could someone at least clean this part up? It's quite mis-leading. 86.147.127.111 05:15, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

Well Saints Row: Money Shot was cancelled so hardly part of the actual series, and Saints Row: Total Control is some game that was briefly on Facebook but pulled about four-years ago. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell is actually part of the main series as it is an expansion of Saints Row IV, so it is the first game in that series not to have The Protagonist as a playable character. 194.83.180.1 12:04, February 4, 2015 (UTC)
86.147.127.111's point is that the sentence is poorly worded, and I agree 100% with the war comparison. Unfortunately, I can't think of a better way to word it.
This wiki is about much more than "the actual series", such as DLC, multiplayer, glitches, cut content, and other behind the scenes information.
The fact that Saints Row: Money Shot was cancelled is irrelevant. THQ developed it, we have a mostly-complete copy.
The amount of time since Saints Row: Total Control was removed is irrelevant. It has also been 3 years since Saints Row DLC was removed from the xbox marketplace.
"It is the first time The Protagonist is in a Saints Row game as an NPC" would be more accurate, but this is not "the first Saints Row game" with a different playable character. -452 10:40, May 18, 2015 (UTC)
