Whored Mode is a game mode in Saints Row: The Third.[1][2]
- Don't worry, it's not just whores you'll be fighting against.

Whored Mode is the spiritual successor to Zombie Uprising[3], but rather than being accessed through the Television in-game, it is only accessible from the main menu.
It can be played in single player or multiplayer, at three locations (Angel's Casino, Zombie Island, and Daedalus).
Similar to Zombie Uprising and Survival, Whored Mode tasks the player with fighting enemies in a succession of waves. There are 30 waves per location (90 in total), but waves do not have to be played from beginning to end in one play session. Template:BrEach wave takes place on a map at the selected location.
Players are tasked with bizarre objectives, such as killing armed prostitutes with "a deadly, wobbling purple dong", fighting "barely-dressed angels in a sniper-on-sniper battle", and being pitted against "tiny zombies and massive hot dog men". Other enemies include bondage enthusiasts, zombies with chainsaws, Saints Flow mascots, floating machine gun-holding question marks, and naked Brutes, all equipped with a rotating selection of guns.[1][2]
Players are given different weapons and vehicles in each specific wave. Failing a wave will simply force the player to restart from the beginning of the wave they failed at. When playing in co-op, a downed player has thirty seconds to be revived by the other player before they die. After completing a wave, players are shown their statistics and given a few seconds to rest before the next wave begins.[2]

Like Zombie Uprising, players cannot customize their character in Whored Mode, but the player can choose from a handful of characters.[4]

Trivia
- In the data files, there are many unused Enemies and Conditions.
- All references within the data files use the name "Horde Mode", which means the title "Whored Mode" was a late change.
- The mode is inspired by (and its title parodies) "Horde mode", a wave-based survival mode popularised by the Gears of War series.
- The Enemies on Wave 23 of Zombie is actually enlarged versions of Johnny Gat, Shaundi and Pierce wearing their Space Suits from Gangstas in Space.
Allusions
- Wave 4 of the Zombie Island map is called Hank East, which is a reference to "Frank West", The Protagonist of Dead Rising.[5]
- There is a somewhat obscure reference to the anime Cowboy Bebop on the map Daedalus at Wave 3. The wave is Titled "Y. Kanno" with the directions "3, 2, 1, Let's Jam...". On this this wave you drive a Tank, which the main theme from Cowboy Bebop is titled "Tank!", and "3, 2, 1, Let's Jam..." is a spoken line from the song, which was performed by The Seatbelts, a band whom Yoko Kanno (who produced the score for Cowboy Bebop) is the frontwoman for. This reference does make sense however, seeing as how Adult Swim has aired Cowboy Bebop off-and-on in their weekly line-up in the past.
- Wave 7, is a reference to the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" villain "Rita Repulsa", when she transforms human-size-monsters to giant monsters saying: "Make my monster grow!"
- Wave 14 of the Zombie Map is a reference to the Resident Evil series, particularly the first game.
- Zombies are the main enemies in the Resident Evil series
- The same weapons from Resident Evil are used, handgun and shotgun
- The name of the round is called "Survival Horror"
- It says that there isn't any "herbs", herbs are used for health in Resident Evil
- Wave 1 of Angel's gym "Hammer Time" is a reference to MC Hammer's song U Can't Touch This.
- Wave 25 of the Zombie Island survival is called "Kirby's Bachelor Party", with the flavor text being "Send 'em to dream land". This is a clear reference to the Kirby series of videogames created by Nintendo
- Wave 29's fail message is a reference to Borderlands, namely one of the lines playable character Mordekai uses after killing a tough enemy - "So big, so angry, so dead."
- Wave 16 of Daedalus is titled after one of the overdubbed G.I. Joe videoes on youtube.
- Wave 14 of Daedalus is a reference to the TV show The Walking Dead.
- Wave 26 of Daedalus is a reference to Street Fighter.
- The flavor text of Wave 14 of Angel's Gym is a reference to Jaws.
