"We're Going to Need Guns" is the third mission in Saints Row: The Third.

DescriptionEdit

After arriving in Steelport from falling from the plane, Phillipe Loren calls you saying don't mourn your friend (Johnny Gat), saying you'll join him soon. You'll find out your money and weapons are gone. Shaundi and The Protagonist have to find some weapons somewhere so they head to Friendly Fire. But they're gonna need more guns than the couple of firearms they can buy there. The Protagonist asks Shaundi if she knows a place where they can get a lot of guns and she sarcasticly says they can raid the guard armory and The Protagonist thinks that's a good plan.

After buying a gun at the Friendly Fire they head over to the national guard station to take their weapons. Once they're done removing all the guardsmen guarding the weapons Pierce and other Saints arrive in helicopters to help The Protagonist and Shaundi. The protaganist saw a huge bomb that he wants to take with him so it's taking a while to load the helicopters. The national guard is better equipped than they thought, to try and stop the Saints from raiding their armory they send in tanks. So Shaundi says it's time to use the Reaper Drone to take them out.

After loading the helicopters everyone gets on board and they fly to Shaundi's ex boyfriend's safe house. The Protagonist has to make sure that the national guard doesn't destroy the bomb that Pierce is flying away with his helicopter. Note that the mission will be impossible to complete if the Super Explosions cheat code is activated, as destroying a SNG Tornado will blow up the bomb.

TriviaEdit

• If the player immediately uses the Reaper Drone again after destroying all the tanks, the game may glitch and not progress to the next section of the mission.
• The bomb that the Saints steals away in this mission, which would be later used in the mission "The Belgian Problem" is the famous "Daisy Cutter" BLU-82B heavy weight bomb, which is usually dropped from a C-130 cargo plane but also sometimes the skycrane.
• During this mission, it is not possible to use Rim Jobs, so it is impossible to store vehicles during this mission.
• A few seconds before the level ends, you are able to use the weapon selection wheel.

    *If you select your fists, it will appear as if you are still holding the K-8 Krukov, and you will automatically face the building across from your side of the helicopter carrying you.
