I would like to be an admin on this wiki. I contributed the weapon upgrades list just a few minutes ago as (75.164.152.50) before realizing I wasn't logged in, and I intend to contribute more. Also there's a spam page that needs deleting a The end of jordan tee. ~ GAdr tc@ 12:40, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

You've only done six edits on this wiki. You'll need to contribute a lot more if you want to be an admin. Reversinator 16:45, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

While that is true I've only done 6 edits to the saints row wiki, I've been doing wiki related things for quite awhile; a large number of them bigger edits and time consumers like compiling all the weapon upgrade data as I have already, and a ton of typo or grammar fixes. The main reason I want administrator is to delete pages that are clearly spam such as the one that I just requested be deleted and was, rather than having to wait for an AFD or speedy deletion request, and warning and blocking users that persist in either spam and/or vandalism. ~ GAdr tc@ 01:51, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
And more to the point, I don't have a vested interest in doing said time consuming additions if there's nothing in it for me. Ergo, if I had administrator I would be much more willing to invest my time in the wiki. ~ GAdr tc@ 01:52, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
"I don't have a vested interest in doing said time consuming additions if there's nothing in it for me."
This quote is why you will never be an admin on this wiki. I suggest you go and read up on adminship, particularly any "what adminship is not" pages you can find.
If there are pages which you think should be deleted, mark them with {{Delete}} or Prod to bring them to the attention of the administrators and they will delete them. If there are users whom you feel should be warned, feel free to warn them yourself, it will save the admins time - however, remember to remain polite and calm, or you may be warned yourself. --452 03:38, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
I think you misinterpreted something I said..? I don't quite understand your response. What information are you gleaning from that quote that makes you feel the need to say I need to look up "what adminship is not"? I have read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_adminship_is_not before and none of those apply to my intentions. What I meant was more along the lines of "if I don't have the capacity do easily do all I can to help, I'm not overly interested in putting the extra effort and time into it". In other words, if I'm being held back, I'm not going to try in the first place. Another way of putting this is that I greatly understand WP:NOBIGDEAL and just want access to the extra abilities/tools that adminship has to increase my ability to improve the wiki. ~ GAdr tc@ 08:16, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
"...if there's nothing in it for me.". You cannot backpedal from that statement. --452 20:55, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
"backpedal"? You seem to think I've said something horribly out of line, while I have very little idea what problem you have with it. I was referring to the ability to use tools that would make contributing and improving the wiki easier. You're basically saying that you thought I wanted money or sexual favors, at this point? ~ GAdr tc@ 06:00, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
And I feel the need to point out that your reply is basically a reductio ad absurdum into "you want extra ability(i.e. power) to do things that are useful, but since people who want power must be corrupt, you must be corrupt and will probably abuse it". Why would anyone ever post an RFA if being granted access to tools that help them improve the wiki isn't an allowed reason? ~ GAdr tc@ 06:06, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
Your continued arguing about this only proves my point that you are not admin material. Thank you.
You are wrong on multiple points, but I will not be drawn into an argument. --452 06:28, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
