- I am an inclusionist and a completist. I believe that every verifiable fact about the Saints Row Universe should be documented on this wiki. However, just because Sports Rims exist in the game doesn't mean it should have a dedicated article.
- I may not do things the same way as others. I do what makes sense.
- I welcome people with alternate opinions, but saying "X wiki does it this way" is not a reason to do something, without explaining why X wiki does it that way.
- Nothing should ever be done without a reason. If I do not understand something, I will ask about it. If you do not understand why something is done, I expect you to ask about it. Anyone who blindly accepts the way something is done without questioning whether it makes sense is stupid.
- When I joined this wiki, I started out by fixing things that were broken: Broken redirects, orphaned and dead-end pages, pages without categories and many many speeling mistakes.
- After just one week, I had over 500 edits: just from fixing stuff that one person messed up and others were too lazy to fix.
- What have you done recently? Dive right in and help improve this wiki!
- There are still many things you can do to help. If you don't know where to begin, see Saints Row Wiki:Wishlist, or feel free to ask on my talk page.
- One thing that is woefully missing in fan-documentation of Saints Row are detailed lists.
- I started editing this wiki because I was looking for a full list of unlockables, but there was nowhere on the internet which actually listed them.
- Specifically, according to the in-game stats page for SR2, there are 42 unlockable cars, but there was no list anywhere of exactly which cars these are.
- I have now fully researched this and added a full list to this wiki.
- I've extracted all game data files from all 3 games, and will making lists using these, as well as listing things while exploring the game.
- I also have all of the audio files from all 3 games, but they are largely unsorted, so finding specific quotes may take a while.
- Feel free to contact me about anything at all, any edit I've ever made or anything I've ever said. There's no such thing as a stupid question, or a question which is too old to answer.

My Editorial Stance
Edit
Preview
Edit
- Always Preview. Even if it's a small change, because you may notice another small change immediately afterwards. (I know I do.)
- Using Preview also helps make sure that all wikilinks are linked correctly. If you see a redlink you didn't mean to be red, you probably mispelled something.
- After editing, you can view the article history and look at the diff log of your edit to verify that you have not made any unintended changes.
Summary
Edit
- Always enter an edit summary. Especially if it's only a small edit.
- Using an edit summary can help others understand the reason for your edit.
- For example, if you remove something from an article without using an edit summary, it is difficult to know if it is vandalism, or if you have personally researched that the information you have removed was incorrect. If you remove something without using and edit summary, it may be assumed that your edit was vandalism, and your edit reverted.
- By the time I made 1633 edits to articles, I had used edit summaries on 1530 of them.
- Other editors use the edit summary to see if they need to give an article attention.
Stubs
Edit
- More articles does not mean better wiki. The more articles there are, the less attention each one gets.
- I believe that if stub pages cannot be expanded to be longer than a screen, they should be merged into an associated article.
- In 2010, there was a page for each Hitman target. Each of these pages was only 2 lines long.
- Note: A poll was created regarding this, and my stance was agreed with by the majority of voters in the poll, so all Hitman targets pages have now been merged with the Hitman article.
Deletion
Edit
- Pages should not be summarily deleted without a good reason.
- When deleting an article, no information should ever be lost. All information should be merged onto other pages.
- If a page is linked from other pages, then it has a reason to exist.
- That said, creating blank pages is not acceptable. There is plentiful information already on other pages which can be used to expand new articles. Creating an article for a neighborhood which only says "X is a neighborhood" does not help anyone. It is easy to create a worthwhile article.
Redirects
Edit
- While I agree with keeping some redirects, such as for alternate names for in-game entities and redirecting stub pages to subsections of larger pages, there seems to be no point in keeping redirects that only exist due to spelling mistakes.
- Example: Redirect pages such as Combine exist because the Kent is sometimes called "Combine" in the game. Redirect pages for Combine and other alternate names need to exist so that when people search for "Combine", they are taken to the correct page. When editing pages about sections of the game that refer to alternate names specifically, for example, the Chop Shop page which calls it the Combine, I use the word "Combine" and link the word Combine to avoid confusion.
- Example: The Saints Row District redirect should remain, due to the ambiguity of the correct spelling, and exactly what it means.
- Some redirects only exist because someone made a typo. Typos should be corrected, and so spelling mistake redirects should be deleted.
Question & Explain
Edit
- Because a wiki is a collaboration, it is very important to work with others, rather than against them, and it is important to remember that we're all here for the same reason.
- If someone disagrees with you, do not attack the person's edits, everyone is trying to do the right thing, but some people may come to different conclusions based on different facts. Explain your position to the other user.
- If you make an edit that you feel others may disagree with, use the talk page to explain what you have done, and why you have done it. That way, people will see that your idea is a good one, and that you are not just making meaningless edits.
- Conversely, if you see something that you do not understand, check which user added that information, and either leave a message on the article talk page, or on the user's talk page asking what their reasoning is and explaining your opinions.
Blocks
Edit
- Banning someone is a last resort. Most vandals edit once, laugh, and go away. Reverting their edits is usually enough, only recurring vandals require extended bans.
- It is now standard policy to issue a short block for all first time anon vandals so that they are recorded in the block log so that repeat offenders can more easily be identified.
- Assuming good faith means that all users should be given a chance to explain their actions.
- In most cases, if a user breaks something while editing, I simply fix their mistake.
- If they do the same thing twice, I will leave them a message explaining what they have done, and ask them not to repeat doing it in future.
- If a user continually does something wrong, I will ask them to explain why they are doing it.
- If a user ignores all attempts at communication, I will give them a 1-3 day block and a message is left on their talk page explaining the block and asking them to explain their actions.
- If they do not respond, and repeat their behaviour once the block expires, they will be blocked again for a greater length of time.
