In gameEdit

has anyone seen genki in random gameplay? i put 20 hours into this game and havent seen him what so ever. played all the genki side missions havent seen him spawn randomly (unsigned: Gutarjunky 03:36, November 18, 2011)

Yes, I saw him after completing a Mayhem Activity, and subsequently pelted him with grenades and Annihilator RPGs. He dropped $300,000 for me. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 19:41, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
What a load of crap 32 hours in still haven't seen him O_o (Unsigned: Gutarjunky, 21:15, 20 November 2011)
That's a shame. I saw him for the second time earlier, and he dropped another $300,000. Also, please sign your posts with ~~~~ – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 21:26, November 20, 2011 (UTC
Had you just completed a mayhem that time as well, or was it just a random enounter? Dopesmylez 15:41, November 25, 2011 (UTC)
Encountering Genki is always a random chance, as far as I know. – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 22:22, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
I actually saw him twice during my first run-through and both times were completely random. Just drving around mostly. I thought I had seen him again after that but killed him in one hit. That's when I realized it was a mascot. Hefe 15:29, December 5, 2011 (UTC)
I've killed him with fist combos only. He has taken about 6 combos then he dropped $300.000 Drive-By Diskussion 18:57, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
I met him again in a snatch job and obtained $1.000.000. ( from $3.901.421 to $4.901.421). Drive-By Diskussion 18:57, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

Saw GenkiEdit

i finally saw him for the first time after i did some survival waves i wonder if it was the patch that made me see him because i never saw him untill i got genki bowl also just got the platinum trophy :) Gutarjunky 06:37, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

I was on my way to a gang activity in my Challenger, and someone started firing rockets at me. Looking around, turns out it was Genki. Big gun shot knocked him down, he got back up, then another one tossed him over a wall and I couldn't see him anymore. Figured he was just a randomly spawned nut with a big gun. Didn't realize he dropped so much money, or I'd have worked harder at getting him. --Azaram (talk) 16:06, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

I have found Genki multiple times, even finding a little glitch where he spawned with a bunch of prostitutes with powerful weapons. [RPG, AR-55] I beat him to death with a baseball bat. He honestly is a maniac, his voice spooks me.[He always creeps up on me, and too be honest I preferred the japanese stereotype, and not a stalker mass murderer] He disturbs me when doing something complex like glitching the game. [What? It's an open world!] The only decent thing about him is the cool 300,000 minimum cash he has on him. I have unfortunately never got a million off him. And I doubt I ever will. But it is a nasty thing when I was a new player, [ I must say my mates have seen him but didn't know how much money he had on him.] I found him at the point where you go to friendly fire for the first time. Instantly I recognized the little bitch, Only hey-ho [ Pun not intended ] Here come the prostitutes...It really bugged me because I could have got a nice bonus to help me along. Has anyone else seen him at the beggining? SInce I currently have 94% completion, a couple million dollars, the only reason I hunt Genki is for recording it. 87.115.204.67 21:23, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

I'm still reasonably new in the game; I've just now completed the set of jobs that gives you the penthouse suite crib with the helipad. I've seen him at least three times; once before I knew what he was, walking along and I ignored him, once as above when I tossed him over the wall, and once a little while ago when I finally killed him (Holy crap he's tough)... and he didn't drop ANY money. --Azaram (talk) 07:25, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

I saw him once, very early in the game, I was outside of Shaundi's Loft, putting a bunch of cars into the garage to test the limit, and I turned around and Genki was there. I hit him with two Reaper Drone guided missiles and he dropped $100,000. I can see why some people don't see the money he drops, as it appears as a normal wad of notes, so could easily be missed. I imagine that the money he drops may be linked to game progress, since I got the minimum. --452 03:54, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

Mr. Genki at the airport? Edit

Hello, based on different comments I've seen at Youtube Videos and forums. Genki is known to spawn more often around the airport. So I went to the airport and Genki did spawn once for me.

Can anyone confirm if Genki really does spawn more often at the airport, so it may be included in the article.

MitchMaljers - "5 years ago a virus escaped and everyone died" 15:13, January 2, 2013 (UTC)

I'll look into it. -452 22:39, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
I took a look at the NPC spawning rates and, thankfully, Genki is listed with all others - he doesn't spawn more often at the airport, but he does spawn more often in Yearwood, which we didn't know before. To give you an idea of how frequently he spawns, his spawn rate is half of that of the Gat Mobile, which means for every second time you see the Gat Mobile driving around, there was probably a Genki you missed because you drove right past him and didn't see him. (That said, the Gat Mobile will be driving around New Baranec about 10 times as often, just like Genki will spawn in Yearwood 5 times as often)
Also, he has a 35% chance of carrying a rocket launcher. And he as 32767 hitpoints, to give that perspective, both Killbane and Zombie Gat have 20000 hitpoints each. -452 08:53, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the research, I remember looking at each red dot on the map just to only see that is quickly disappears. He does spawn more often in Yearwood. I'm going to do a little Genki hunting and check it out. The airport rumor is fake like you found out. I also remember seeing the Gat Mobile spawning a little more frequently at Yearwood. Should the spawnrate about Yearwood be included in the article?
MitchMaljers - "5 years ago a virus escaped and everyone died" 13:49, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
The Gat Mobile only spawns more frequently in Loren Square (20%) and New Baranec (50%) -452 08:06, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Spawn rate? Edit

i noticed that professor genki seems to spawn ALOT more often in my friends game then mine, is it cause he has all the genki related DLC because once every 3-5 minutes seems a tad much to be considered as just lucky. 96.32.45.15 04:33, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Genki on radio Edit

My friend swears they heard Genki being interviewed on the radio in SR3- it got violent near the end, apparently. This only happened once. Has anyone else had this?LadyAnonyma (talk) 13:27, June 18, 2015 (UTC)

Does your friend mean one of the three advertisements on the radio? The advertisements may play on any station. If not, and Genki was a caller, it would only occur on a single station - any idea which station? -452 13:40, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
