Release Date ConfusionEdit

Saints-Row-III-Pre-Order-bonus-300x235

This DLC didn't come out early. It IS winter 2012 right now. I can prove this was THQ's original intent for two reasons.

1. If you look at the picture here File:Saints-Row-III-Pre-Order-bonus-300x235.jpg

You can see that the games are listed in order of release. Who ever looked at this and put the false info in the page was misreading it. Why would THQ release one DLC in Spring then wait a whole 3/4ths of a year to release another one, by then the game would be some what irrelevant.

2. THQ hasn't released anything saying that the release was moved up or that the game was accidently put on the PSN Store/X-Box Arcade early then removed it. As far as THQ is conserned, they released the game when they said they would. I didn't wanna delete the errionious info without providing a reason. So here, ya go.

It's spring 2012 now. How the hell could you possibly think it's winter in February? The "reasons" you provide boil down to attempts at mind reading; they said they'd release it in winter (Q4) and instead released it in spring (Q1). All we can say is we don't know why they did it, since they haven't told us. No evidence is only evidence that you have no evidence. Evil Tim 19:30, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter : "In the USA (and sometimes in Britain) the season is regarded as beginning at the solstice and ending on the following equinox – in the Northern Hemisphere, depending on the year, this corresponds to the period between 21 or 22 December and 20 or 21 March." --user452 00:26, February 26, 2012 (UTC)
That's a bit of a stretch, though. If I said I was releasing something in "winter 2012" would you assume I was going to release it in the first quarter of the year? Evil Tim 13:31, February 26, 2012 (UTC)
Stretch or not, that is the answer to the question "How the hell could you possibly think it's winter in February?". --user452 21:24, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
This whole thing is ungodly stupid. Winter 2012 means January-February. And when was February ever regarded as Spring? Spring don't start 'till March 21st. Granted yes, this winter has been unusually warm, but that still don't make it spring. This ad is very clear on the timeframe the DLCs are set to be released. No where does it say Quarters, it says Seasons. And December (if that's why Gangstas In Space keeps being put as coming after The Trouble With Clones) is always regarded as 'Holiday [year here]' along with November.
Get over it, I'm removing this mess, and for the love of whatever you believe in, stop putting it back in.

Winter 2012 means the end of the year, when you're talking about scheduling. If I told you something was happening in winter 2012 you would never imagine I meant it was happening in february 2012. If that's what they intended, then they phrased it really badly, which is still worth noting. Saying it's obvious they meant february after the fact is ridiculous; there is no way you would ever have interpreted it that way based on the press release. Also, I wasn't aware January was a season. Evil Tim 17:44, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
I agree. To any layman, winter 2012 is going to mean the November-December 2012 period. It's irrelevant what winter 2012 means in economic or business terms, they aren't going to use those criteria when advertising a videogame to the general public. And if they were, then... well, they're idiots. Because John Smith on the street isn't going to make that connection.--Leigh Burne 19:05, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
I disagree, to this layman (in terms of economic/business terms), I would assume the advertisement listed the DLC packs in order of release, January being mentioned specifically, because it was closest and they knew more specifically when it would be released. I would assume that the vague next date, "winter", means "sometime before the end of winter" = "before 21 March", and that "spring" means "sometime in spring". --user452 21:30, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
I dunno, they list free items first and last, which means the rest of the list isn't necessarily going to be in any kind of order. Evil Tim 21:57, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
I agree that it was stupid of Volition to specific seasons instead of months. The reason they were vague is because they didn't yet know the exact release dates. If nothing else, it proves they are prejudiced hemispherists. --user452 21:24, February 27, 2012 (UTC)

Laser RifleEdit

Throughout the mission 'Hanger 18 1/2', three new weapons are obtained: the Laser Pistol, the Auto Laser and the Laser Rifle.

Is the "Laser Rifle" the Viper Laser Rifle, or not? --user452 21:49, April 13, 2012 (UTC)

It's not, no. All the weapons have that kind of '50s-themed sci-fi look. Although, I did just check this video, and the HUD objective calls it the "LASER CANNON". – Moozipan Cheese(talk page) 22:06, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
That's confusing, maybe they were confused themselves. I'll delete the redirect then. --user452 22:46, April 13, 2012 (UTC)

Alright this is bugging me, can someone please make a That's not in the script mission page that WON'T get deleted?! (unsigned: User:Gameboy_015 01:38, May 6, 2012)

What does that have to do with the Laser Rifle? --user452 04:04, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
sorry i just did the leave message and i didnt even see where it went. (unsigned: User:Gameboy_015 04:33, May 6, 2012)
You can sign your posts with ~~~~, and indent replies with :
When you click "leave message" there is a box in the top right that says "Add a section headline", which you can use to add a section headline for your new message.
The deletion message on That Not in the Script! says that you should feel free to create the article with actual content. I took a look at the deleted page, and it was created with just one obscene word, so I'm unsure why this is bugging you. If the article is created with content, it will not be deleted. --user452 04:44, May 6, 2012 (UTC)

Xenophobe trivia Edit

hey, i tried adding a bit more info to the Xenophobe trivia bit but i cant get the link there. could someone please sort this for me? i want the link to appear like this "it is also a reference to a Xenophobe being someone with a fear of aliens/people who are different." .22-Shooter 02:25, June 8, 2012 (UTC)

Fixed. --Leigh Burne 08:49, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
In the article, you added
"[xenophobe][http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia]"
and then
["Xenophobe"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia
Here on the talk page, you correctly linked it as
[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenophobia Xenophobe]
See Help:Links for more help with linking.
For linking to wikipedia specifically, we also have a special template you can use
{{wp|Xenophobia|Xenophobe}} to create Xenophobe
For other links where you want to use the same title as the page you are linking you can just use:
{{wp|Xenophobia}} to create Xenophobia
I hope this helps --user452 20:58, June 8, 2012 (UTC)
thanks, not sure i completely follow though. On this page i used the link button. om the visual section, however on the Gangstas in space article i had to use the source one and thats what i struggled with .22-Shooter 17:44, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Trophies Edit

What happened if you missed a trophy (For example: "Pew Pew Pew!")? Is there a possibility to replay?  Saints' Hoodie - Let's talk! 11:29, December 21, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I believe one of the articles says something about replaying DLC missions. -452 17:30, December 21, 2012 (UTC)
