Spanish[]

What is exactly the Protaginist says when he "[Speaks Spanish]" with Shaundi? (unsigned: 92.127.253.119 - 2014-03-15 20:21:18)

I know this is from 5 years ago, but it is translated as yes, yes, i am, it is a bad translation though, since si, si soy, is used to say something that you are, not your actual condition.

Thanks, it's never too late to answer an unanswered question. :) -452 00:30, April 29, 2019 (UTC)

Hispanic voices[]

Is there a way to listen to the unsorted dialogue?, if there is, i could translate them(i do not know if i need to dwell onto the files or if it is already on the wiki).

Also, what the male voice 3 says in the first dialogue(as soon as the mission starts and the cutcene ends, when he takes the call), is Shaundi, me siento bien, which means shaundi, i feel good

Glazedonut (talk) 16:42, May 11, 2019 (UTC)

I have all the files, but they are even more unsorted than the dialogue.
I have no way of match each file with each subtitle, so the best way to do it would probably be for me to record myself playing the mission with the default voice, so I know when each is said, then record it again with me using the both Spanish voices.
I think I'll do part 1 of that right now, and I'll let you know how it goes.
452 16:59, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
I have been doing all missions with spanish dialogue, and translating them.
But wait, does that mean that you have the unsorted dialogues activated or something?
Glazedonut (talk) 17:24, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
"Unsorted" means simply that, it has not been sorted.
In this case however, it appears that this is also unused dialogue that is not triggered in the mission, something I did not know until playing the mission looking for them. This makes things a little harder.
The good news is that I've already partially sorted all the audio files, and all of The Protagonist's voice lines are all in the exact same order. So once I find the first line from the mission for one voice, I'll be able to quickly find the same line for the other voices, and I'll be able to quickly find the untranslated lines for you.
452 17:46, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
Alright, record them and send them to me(no rush, take your time), and i'll translate them.
Glazedonut (talk) 17:53, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
Here are all of The Protagonist's hispanic voice lines: https://ufile.io/j10iqajb
So far I've found Bonding Experience starts at 6921, unfortunately the missions aren't even in the correct order, but at least they are grouped together.
There are a lot of other lines in spanish, such as lines spoken when stealing a car, but we don't need translations for absolutely everything, unless you think something is particularly notable.
If there's a random line where The Protagonist mentions another character, then that might be notable enough.
I'm going to keep listening through and I'll let you know if I find where Bad Trip starts. 452 18:04, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
"Don't worry magic phone, I'll save you" is 6947. :) -452 18:05, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
And the hispanic male lines start at 6360. 452 18:07, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
I'm sure you will quickly notice that the first two files are in the reverse order of when they are said in the game: that continues:
  • Combat 8: 6950, 6363
  • Combat 7: 6951, 6364
  • Combat 6: 6952, 6365
  • Combat 5: 6953, 6366 (this is in english anyway!)
  • Combat 4: 6954, 6367
  • Combat 3: 6955, 6368
  • Combat 2: 6956, 6369
  • Combat 1: 6957, 6370
452 18:16, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
Most things they say in spanish are only curses or swear words, like puta(bitch) or vete a la chingada(mexican-spanish for go fuck yourself). Maybe there is something notable in the drunk lines, or on idle talk.
I will get working on it, and i send them to you.
Glazedonut (talk) 18:34, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
is there a way to know from which mission are each one? i have found some in spanish that i haven't seen or heard in any mission, or at least they aren't on the wiki, for example in one he says chingadas, mas barcos that means shit/dammit, more boats, so maybe it is an unused one for The enemy of my enemy. But aside from a number, i do not know the mission.
Glazedonut (talk) 18:52, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
There isn't a way to automatically link them, only by checking the other nearby lines.
If you give me the numbers, I can try find the corresponding lines in english, but I expect it would also be "shit more boats"
452 19:00, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
I have all the translations for bad trip(06363-06370), without counting the two we already have.
  • This is good to get the group together, right?
  • I am crooked or are we winning?
  • They can't last forever
  • Don't you worry about shaundi, worry about the ones trying to kill us
  • How many of these assholes we need to kill?
  • Believe me pierce, i am with you
  • Pierce, are you going to kill someone or are you going to keep talking?
Glazedonut (talk) 19:09, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
So the lines for male and female are the same?
BTW, feel free to add them yourself instead of just putting them on talk pages.
452 19:53, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
No, they aren't(the male voice speaks more spanish on missions that the female one though), i haven't checked them yet.
I would, but i do not know exactly to put it, i think you need to use something called collapsed text, but i am not sure.
Glazedonut (talk) 20:37, May 11, 2019 (UTC)
Okay, I will add them, but I'll wait for the female lines so I can add them all together. -452 00:04, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Bad trip 06950 -06958
  • Vamos a hacerlo fuera de aqui shanundi, sigue tirando - Lets do it outside shanundi, keep shooting
  • No te preocupes shanundi, prepara todo esto conejitos borrosos(as said) - Don't you worry shaundi, prepare for these blurry rabbits
  • No estes chingado, esta bien - Don't worry, everything is alright
  • no pienses tanto shanundi y depara ya del gang(the second part doesn't make any sense, maybe she says dispara a la gang that would be shoot the gang but i am not sure, i will listen to it again and try to confirm if that is indeed what she says.
  • no puedo pensar mientras que estes hablando(as said) - i can't think while you're talking
  • dejen de hablar, matelos a todos - stop talking and kill them all
  • piensa en algo feliz pierce - think about happy things, pierce
  • no seas niño pierce - don't be a kid pierce
Glazedonut (talk) 00:38, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Thank you. 452 01:25, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
You gave me 7 lines for the male voice... 452 02:00, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Oh, right, 6366 is in english. 452 02:00, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
I been sorting through the files, the male voice only mentions another character when drunk(and in english) he says fuck troy but nothing else.
The female voice mentions Dane, and Gat, both when drunk, and again in english, rest of spanish i found is in idle talking, combat, etc.
Glazedonut (talk) 23:59, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the update, but I do not require updates. Once you are done, please just give me the list of numbers, transcripts, and translations, and I will add them to appropriate articles. -452 00:25, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Found the mission ones, i have an unused one for good D, one for shopping maul, and the unused ones from bad trip, but whoever did the voice of female voice 3 was really high at the time or didn't know how to speak, since some of this is poorly made and almost untranslatable.
Glazedonut (talk) 00:16, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
What mission ones? 452 00:21, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
These
(Admin edit: bad trip lines moved to the correct location 452 01:24, May 15, 2019 (UTC))
Good D
  • Viejo, eres un hombre muerto - Old man, you're a dead man(probably talking about kazuo)
The Shopping Maul
  • Vamos a hacerlo! - Lets do it!
Glazedonut (talk) 00:38, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Bonding Experience 06950,06939
Dios mio pierce los helicópteros han llegados - My god pierce the helicopters have arrived/are here
Dios dame la fuerza para no matarlo - God give me the strength to not kill him
Glazedonut (talk) 00:38, May 15, 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for adding the file numbers, I was just about to ask you to do that. I am now moving the bad trip lines to the correct location.

I think it was because we were both editing at the same time, so i didn't see the changes, or maybe i am high myself after listening to these dialogues.
Will not happen again.
