Description

This sports car is extremely common in the games.

Dex drives this car in the last Los Carnales mission "What Goes Up...", and it can be kept after finishing the mission. It is also unlocked in the Garage upon completion of this mission.

In Saints Row, the Chop Shop in the Chinatown District is looking for this vehicle. In Saints Row 2, it is wanted by the Chop Shop in the Apartments District, and can easily be found driving in the University, Arena, Museum, Downtown and Suburbs Expansion Districts.

A unique feature of this car is that it has butterfly doors when you access it.

  • The Raycaster seems to be a hybrid of a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, a Chevy Corvette, a Dodge Viper and some influences from TVR Sagaris.
  • The car has butterfly doors, which is a reference to the SLR McLaren.
  • In the mission "What Goes Up..." in Saints Row, during the "Time to Go" cutscene, Dex's Raycaster has the engine sound of a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, a different engine sound than is used during gameplay.
  • One of the front bumpers makes the Raycaster look like a cow catcher on a train and works like one in Saints Row: The Third. It sends cars and people flying into the air.
  • Raycasting is a part of scripting, where a large 3D grid is made. Raycasting is most recognized from the FPS Wolfenstein 3D.
