Description
Edit
Consisting of masked wrestlers, they are led by the Mexican wrestler Killbane [reference?]. They deal with selling drugs and gambling [reference?]. When things get nasty, they are known to fight up close, and when guns are drawn, they use heavy weapons [reference?]. Their gang color is green
The first encounter between the Luchadores and 3rd Street Saints is during not only Johnny Gat's funeral, but the grand opening of Hughes Bridge. The Luchadores made quick work of not only the Saints, but themselves, firing rockets from the rooftops of nearby buildings, leaving the bridge in pieces. It was shortly after this that the Saints found Kinzie, Angel, and Zimos.[reference?]
Luchadores are an all male gang that seem to be a bit tougher than the others, hit point wise. The Luchador Specialist is an armored man with a rapid firing grenade launcher, the GL G20. The GL G20 sprays the area with grenades. As such, its easy to avoid this Specialist if you keep moving. But its really preferred to simply kill him and take his grenade launcher if you're looking at a protracted fight with the Luchadores.
The biggest front for the majority of their criminal operations is the 3 Count Casino, located in Port Pryor. The interior of the casino is decorated will all sorts of statues and portraits of Killbane.

Trivia
Edit
- Their name "Luchadores" is Spanish for "Fighters". [2]
- It is said[when?] that the Luchadores have interests in drug trade and illegal gambling, but in the "Walking Apocalypse" trailer description, it says they have a hold on Steelports weapons trade.[link?]
- In the "Walking Apocalypse" trailer, the Luchadores are seen to have a lieutenant with a mohawked mask, metallic shoulderguards and what appears to be a multiple grenade launcher. It is later revealed in the game that it was just a picture of a gang specialist.[link?]
- The Luchadores don't have any female members, which makes them the first all-male gang in the Saints Row series.
- The Luchadores are the 'soldiers' of the Syndicate, with an emphasis on brutal tactics, use of heavy weapons and body armor, and a large number of heavy vehicles in their arsenal.
- Luchadores were one of the first things revealed along with a default player model, though at that time they were not named.[when?]
- Just like the Deckers and the Morningstar, the Luchadores have a skyscraper in Steelport, about a block from the Broken Shillelagh.
- The Luchadores are much larger than their real life counterparts as in real life the vast majority of Luchadores are Light Heavyweights/Cruiserweights/Junior Heavyweights or lighter
- On the promotional poster there is a second Killbane look-alike in a red mask, this could be either another Specialist or a lieutenant that was removed from the game.
- Two female lieutenants are pictured in a promotional poster but do not appear in the released game
- The Luchadores are the least active faction in the whole series as they only actively appear in 4 misions and 1 activity.
