Released on the 6th of August 2013 for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. The PlayStation 3 version was released on August 13. The Inauguration Station was released in order to customize and dress characters to upload for use in Saints Row IV. It acts the same as the Initiation Station, and players can download characters they created in Saints Row: The Third in order to be used for Saints Row IV.
It is not possible to save characters locally, or to load a character from a Saints Row: The Third saved game.
Unlike the Initiation Station, it is possible to skip the intro logos.
Unlike the Initiation Station, when starting the Inauguration Station, it automatically attempts to connect to the database. If there is no network connection, the "communicating with community site..." message is displayed indefinitely.
It is possible to upload characters using the Inauguration Station, then download them in Saints Row: The Third, which allows access to some otherwise unavailable clothing items.
It is only possible to upload 20 characters per account.
It was possible to obtain early access to the Inauguration Station on PS3 in the US before it was released by making a UK account, using "Download in Background" to download it from the UK PlayStation store, then switching back to a US account.
