Description
Edit
The Protagonist is leading a group of 3rd Street Saints on the surface of Mars. Killbane is trying to destroy Earth from Mars. The Protagonist, Shaundi, Pierce and Johnny head out to find Killbane, along the way they disable forcefields. At the first forcefield Pierce goes down and dies. When the second forcefield goes down Shaundi dies. When the last forcefield is destroyed Johnny dies and The Protagonist has to confront Killbane alone.
Killbane and The Protagonist face off in a cave. Killbane tells The Protagonist that he has no chance against him since his suit is impervious to all damage except for conveniently placed lava crystals that are scattered around the cave. So The Protagonist lures Killbane to several of these crystals and shoots them when Killbane is near them. After shooting several of these crystals Killbane goes down and The Protagonist delivers the final blow by penetrating him with a crystal. The mission ends with The Protagonist reflecting on the reason he came to Mars and delivering this final monolouge:
"I came to Mars to make a living. Keep my head down. Stay out of trouble. But I found something..."
At which point The Protagonist soon forgets what they're about to say and is forced to call out "Line!"
The camera pans out and reveals that the entire mission was really just the filming of the Gangstas in Space movie. The actor who plays Killbane reassures The Protagonist on their forgetfulness and the game ends with a stagehand clapping a clapperboard with words "Happy Ending" written on it.

Trivia
Edit
- The game recycles a number of props from Red Faction: Guerrilla, most notably the two-level buildings and crashed EDF gunships. The line spoken by The Protagonist at the end of the mission is from Guerrilla's ending, and The Protagonist fluffs their line one sentence before there would be a mention of Red Faction.
- The film is being directed by the director of Nyte Blayde, according to a billboard found to the west of Espina, near the turning to Sierra Point.[1]
- According to a news report by Jane Valderama, an unknown actor was playing the role of Johnny Gat.
- The "Gangstas in Space" comic features Johnny Gat, though in the movie he plays only a minor role.
- In this mission, Killbane moves, looks and attacks as a Brute would.
- The actor that represents Johnny Gat may randomly announce his name as "Johnny Moto".
- According to the slate clapper shown at the end of the mission, this is the "Happy Ending".
- There are various very cliché sentences heard throughout this mission
- Pierce stating that he had "three days until retirement" upon his death
- The dramatic shouting of the word "No" by The Protagonist - a parody of William Shatner yelling "KHAN" in "Star Trek - the wrath of Khan"
- Killbane saying "I am your Father" - a reference to Darth Vader's famous line in "Star Wars episode V: The Empire Strikes Back".
- The mission rewards the player with the most Cash in the series at $100,000.
- The music played on a theme is the music from "It Came From Outer Space" from 1953.
- This mission begins automatically after Three Way, but it is possible to exit it. If the game is saved and reloaded, the mission will begin automatically.
- It is possible to fail the mission if a Homie is killed before they are scripted to die.
- During the mission, it's possible to die in lava even with full fire immunity.
- A few of the space Luchadores will carry a shotgun version of the laser rifles used during this mission, but none can be picked up.
- As indicated by the "Happy Ending" clapper, this ending is the canon ending.[2]
