Saint's Row is a District of Stilwater in Saints Row and Saints Row 2.

Overview[]

Saint's Row is located on the east side of Stilwater and is made up of three neighborhoods: Mission Beach, Harrowgate and Athos Bay. It is the district where the Saints Row Church is located, and it is the first district taken over by the 3rd Street Saints.

History[]

During the 1960s and '70s, Saint's Row was always the beautiful residential area of Stilwater, known for its architectural and urban planning and Mission Beach was the best area to live in.[Reference needed] However, the area became notorious when Alejandro Lopez and his gang: Los Carnales moved in.[Reference needed] Los Carnales took over the district and most of the city.[Reference needed] During the Vice Kings and the Carnales battled each other, the district fell into a state of disrepair, many of the stores and houses in the area were either closed or breaking down.[Reference needed] Julius Little moved from his neighborhood of Sunnyvale Gardens to Saint's Row soon after the formation of the Vice Kings and when the Westside Rollerz came into the picture, Julius formed the 3rd Street Saints with the Saints Row Church serving as the gang’s home base. Saints Row[]

At the beginning of Saints Row, the district's 3 neighborhoods are each controlled by 3 different gangs, and are taken over one by one by the 3rd Street Saints.

The Mission Beach neighborhood is controlled by the Vice Kings[1][2] until a three-way gang shootout results in 3rd Street Saints being the last gang left alive.[3]

The Athos Bay neighborhood is controlled by Los Carnales, who operate out of an abandoned Brown Baggers until Playa is ordered to kill everyone inside and hunts down the lieutenant in command.[4]

The Harrowgate neighborhood is controlled by the Westside Rollerz until a three-way gang war breaks out and Playa accompanies Julius and Troy to take out each of the three gang lieutenants present.[5]

The Row remains the epicenter of Saints' related gang battles, The Carnales, the Vice Kings and the Rollerz all attack, with the Rollerz' leader, Joseph Price, quoting "we're burning Saints Row to the ground", however all attacks are suppressed by the Saints. Alderman Richard Hughes, the newly elected Stilwater mayor after Marshall Winslow's death[6], unveils his plan to reconstruct Saint's Row which would necessitate the scrubbing of the Saints, using his mayoral powers. He wouldn’t live to see his plan come to live however, as he is killed when his yacht is destroyed by a bomb planted by Julius and Playa is put into a coma.[7]

Saints Row 2[]

After Hughes' death, the clothing company Ultor picked up the pieces.

The Saint's Row District looks vastly different to the one in Saints Row. No longer the home of disrepair and gang violence, Saint's Row is now a district dominated by glass and steel skyscrapers, all constructed by the now multi-billion Ultor Corporation, with Ultor’s headquarters: the Phillips Building serving as the district’s centerpiece. The church, which formerly served as the headquarters of the Saints was extensively renovated and was relocated to become the Stilwater Memorial Church by Ultor to serve as a tourist attraction for visitors of the Saints Row District.

Saints Row IV[]

A simulation of a nondescript street in the Saint's Row District is featured in the mission King Me. The beginning of the mission is a re-enactment of the opening cutscene of Saints Row[3], but the street layout is completely different, containing Steelport buildings, and a replica of the Saints Row Church in the wrong place.

Trivia[]

  • In Saints Row, out of the duplicated background buildings, one of them (with the Italian flags over it) is modelled off Volition's office in Champaign, Illinois.
  • The Saint's Row District cannot be reclaimed by the 3rd Street Saints in Saints Row 2.
  • Despite it being under Ultor's control and the Saints inability to reclaim the district in Saints Row 2, there are Tagging spots in the district. Unlike other tagging spots in the game, these spot are "blank" and have no rival gang tags present.
  • The simulated version of the Saint's Row District in the Saints Row IV mission King Me is inaccurate when compared to the real version. The architecture and roads are completely different and the Friendly Fire and Brown Baggers stores are not present.
