The Kenshin is a vehicle in Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third[1], Saints Row IV and the Saints Row (reboot)[2].

Overview[]

The Kenshin seats 2 and is used by Civilians and The Ronin. The Standard variant costs $17,500 from Cycles.

The Ronin also use Kenshins in Saints Row IV, an Average variant while the Emergency Situation quest is flashing, and the Ronin variant after beginning the quest.

In Saints Row 2, a random Kenshin is provided in The Ronin mission "Road Rage".

Performance[]

The Kenshin is a great asset to chases or escapes due to its surprising maneuverability, overwhelming speed and high armor. However, it is extremely difficult to pilot at top speed and/or in busy traffic. The Kenshin is fairly fast, slower than the Kaneda, and the same speed as the Tetsuo. A nitrous boost does not make it the fastest in the game. This bike also boasts exceptional armor compared to the Shard. Stunts such as wheelies or stoppies are easily performed on this bike, but due to the weight of the chassis it is not as agile in the air as the Sandstorm.

The Kenshin is capable of driving vertically along walls, after performing a wheelie into a wall so that both wheels make contact with the surface, or simply by connecting the wheels with a wall during a jump.

The Kenshin is one of the motorcycles in Saints Row 2 capable of the "Ollie", or a direct jump. While the bike is in forward motion, perform a wheelie, then hit the brakes and the gas for a burnout while the bike is tilted vertically. After Release the brake and the bike launches itself into the air. The game engine propels the bike forward in whatever direction it is facing after a burnout, including upwards.

There are 4 variants in Saints Row 2, Beater (10%), Standard, Bling (20%), and Ronin.

  • The Ronin randomly spawn driving this in neighborhoods they control, but is not used due to Notoriety.

Saints Row: The Third[]

  • Average (100%)

The Average variant is the only one which spawns randomly.

  • Police (0%) (Non-customisable)

The Steelport Police Kenshins is outfitted with SPD markings and emergency lights. They appear with any Notoriety while riding a bike, otherwise at level 2 and higher. This variant is non-customisable.

The police very rarely use the Kenshin when STAG is in the city.[3]

If the police Kenshin can be repainted using the Vehicle Customization glitch but the lights and decals remain. When body mods of the police Kenshin are modified, parts of the bike disappear.

  • VC (0%)

The VC variant of the Kenshin is located in one of the open containers on the North-East side of Wesley Cutter Intl. Unlike other Kenshins this Kenshin is coloured pure black with Japanese white calligraphy decals on both sides. However, when stored or Customized it loses these decals.[4]

Saints Row IV[]

  • Average (100%)

The Average variant is the only one which spawns randomly.

  • Police (0%) (Non-customisable)

The Police Kenshin is identical to the Saints Row: The Third version, but with ZPD markings and two extra flashing lights. It is non-customisable, but can be modified using the Vehicle Customization glitch. It does not spawn after the completion of "Power Up CID".

  • VC (0%)

The VC variant spawns in the same place as in Saints Row: The Third, but does not have the special decals.

  • Ronin (0%)

The Ronin variant only spawns during the mission A Game of Clones, the variant used before starting the mission is an Average variant. It has a candy trumpet yellow paintjob with a rubber tabletop grey trim and rims and custom Ronin decals. It loses the decals when modified or saved in the Garage.
