Steelport Police Department

The Steelport Police are the main Law Enforcement agency in Saints Row: The Third, replacing the role the Stilwater Police Department had from the last two games.^[1]^[2]

Overview[]

The Steelport Police are the main law enforcement agency in Steelport, along with SNG, SWAT, and STAG after they arrive.^[3] They never place Playa under arrest, instead they attack relentlessly. Unlike the Stilwater Police Department, there are no female variants of the officers.

The Steelport Police uniform is comprised of dark blue pants with a white stripe down the side, a white shirt with blue tie, a dark blue coat, and a Sam Browne belt.

Vehicles[]

The standard Steeport Police squad car is the Peacemaker, which is used for patrolling and chasing the Playa at varying levels of Police Notoriety, as well as at traffic stops, check stops, and accident crime scenes. The Peacemaker is also has an undercover variant only seen in Notoriety, having its top lights removed and a full jet black paint job. A Steelport Police variant of the Kenshin is used by the departments motorcycle officers.

For maritime purposes, the Steelport Police use the Commander and Sharks.

The Oppressor is the only helicopter used by the Department for ground support and observation.

Police Stations[]

There are three police stations in Steelport. There is a "STEELPORT POLICE" sign on all stations and only Camano Place and Ashwood stations have "STEELPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT" written above.

Sunset Park: Near Rondini's Boat Dock close to Planet Saints.

Camano Place: One block right of the Camano Place Escort Activity, just behind Curly's Chop Block.

Ashwood: In a triangular block not far from the Guardian Angel Activity and also not far from Snooky's Sundries And More.

Trivia[]

Unlike the Stilwater Police Department, members of the Steelport Police all sound the same, and don't have any unique voicings.
They do not attack when the Playa jumps on top of Police vehicles, and will continue driving regardless.
A Steelport Police uniform can be purchased at Let's Pretend, under the 'Suits' category.
The Steelport Police variant of the Kenshin, cannot normally be customized at either Rim Jobs or the Crib Garage. However, it is possible to customize one via the Vehicle Customization glitch.
The Stilwater Police use the same models and uniforms of the Steelport Police, despite already having their own distinct models since the first and second game.^[4]
Wearing a SPD Uniform Suit does not have any effect on law enforcement Notoriety, or the ability for law enforcement to not recognise the Playa. Similar to the Crooked Cop Uniform from Ultor Exposed.
In both Saints Row; The Third and Saints Row IV, Steelport Police and SWAT themed Saints are Gang Customization options under the "Cops" section. Steelport Police gang followers wear purple versions of the SPD uniforms, and Saints SWAT have Saints fleur-de-lis on their body armor.
In Virtual Steelport, the Steelport Police are replaced by the ZPD. However, they do make occasional appearances throughout the game like in 1950s Steelport and Mayhem activities. The Pacemaker can also be remade into a Steelport Police Cruiser.
After using Notoriety Wipe - Police or Notoriety Wipe - The members may continue to wander the area with their weapons drawn, and will sometimes walk up to a regular civilian car, pull out the driver, and then shoot them on the ground, they only do this once before getting back in their squad car and driving away.
