The Peterliner is a vehicle in Saints Row, Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and Saints Row (reboot).[1]
Overview[]
Though the acceleration and top speed are not the best, the Peterliner is one of the strongest vehicles in the game due to its mass, torque and hitpoints, so any car that gets in the way usually end up a flaming wreck.
In Saints Row, the Chop Shop in the Chinatown District is searching for this vehicle.[2]
In Saints Row: The Third, it is a Vehicle Theft target for Grieves.
Performance[]
Unlike real trucks, the trucks in Saints Row that have two rear axles all have front-wheel drive, and because of this, the wheels free-spin if slowed on any steep grade. It also suffers from low grip and understeering at slow speed, making it more at home on the highways. In Saints Row: The Third the drivetrain has been fixed, so that the four wheels at the back power the truck, making handling much better and gives the truck good drifting abilities.
Locations[]
These most commonly spawn on highways, but they occasionally spawn parked in the Factories and Docks & Warehouses districts. Several sometimes spawn near the warehouse to the north of Spelunkers, in the Black Bottom neighborhood and in the Nuclear Power Plant (but can't be saved there).
In Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV, this truck is rare, but may spawn anywhere, usually on Arapice Island.

There is no way to attach a trailer. It is not possible to save the trailer with it in a garage, and the vehicle cannot be modified with a trailer attached. Trailers have their own mass and can cause the truck to jackknife when taking corners at high speed.
The trailer can be detached if the Peterliner is hit hard enough or destroyed. If the fuel tank trailer sustains enough damage, it explodes, killing Playa and exploding any nearby vehicles.
Trailers do not return in Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV.
Trivia[]
- There is no Cheat for this vehicle in any game.
- The name is a combination of Peterbilt and Freightliner.
- Depending on the hood selected, the Peterliner resembles either a Freightliner Coronado or a Peterbilt 379.
- The Peterliner has a greater chance of rolling in Saints Row 2 than in Saints Row, but a lower chance again in Saints Row: The Third.
- The fuel tank trailers on Peterliners have the widest explosion radius of any other vehicle in Saints Row 2; Playa dies when standing too close during their explosion. This also happens with the Mule and Stilwater Municipal, although they have less explosion radius.
- In Saints Row: The Third, stored Peterliners can not be taken out of underground Garages due to the tunnel being too low for the Peterliner's exhaust pipes.
- In Saints Row, there is a semi-cab called the Goliath, which, along with the Peterliner, are the only tractor units in the Saints Row series.
- The Peterliner and DonoVan are the only vehicles in Saints Row: The Third which have the Rim #254, Recessed Industrial Rims on the rear wheels.[3]
- There is an additional unused trailer named "Spool", which would have carried large wire spools, but in game appears as just side-rails.[4]
- The weights for the Bling Flatbed trailer add up to 89 instead of 100, which allows it to spawn with no contents and no side-rails.[5]
