Description
Edit
After killing multiple gang members from a vehicle within a short period of time, you will be prompted to start the Drive-by diversion. Shooting Civilians and law enforcement will not trigger this diversion, but shooting Pimps will, which can be used to trigger this diversion after finishing the game.
In this diversion, you must drive to set locations and kill groups of gang members with a weapon while in a car. After a certain time, remaining Gang Members in a group will flee. You must kill the Gang Members indicated, killing other Gang Members, including fleeing Gang Members, will not count towards the total. Running over Gang Members, or killing them on foot, will not count towards the total. If you exit your vehicle you have 30 seconds to return to any vehicle.
As with all Diversions, there are 10 levels to beat. Each level has an increasing number of Gang Members to kill, with 264 in total, across 34 groups. Each level will rate you Gold, Silver or Bronze, depending on how many of the required Gang Members have been killed. To earn Gold, you must kill at least 238 Gang Members. If you fail this Diversion, you must start over from the beginning.
There are no unlockables or Achievements associated with this Diversion, although playing this diversion is a good way to earn 3 Gold Stars in Gang Kills.

Edit
After each level, you are told your kill percentage, and given a ranking.
- >90% Gold - Contract Killer
- >80% Silver - Cold Blooded
- >50% Bronze - Thug

Tips
Edit
During this diversion you will be prompted with information about enabling Cruise Control. Cruise Control locks your speed in place, allowing you to perform Drive-bys with greater ease.
You will need a car that can take a beating, preferably one that has been taken to a Car Mechanic and upgraded with reinforced bumpers and frame and upgraded tire durability. Using a T3K Urban, given during this diversion instead of a Pistol would be the easiest option due to the ability to kill enemies faster. The best vehicle would be a Compensator modded at a shop with all the upgrades. This type of Compensator can take at least two RPG hits without exploding.
After each successful level of Drive-by is completed, the vehicle the player is in will be healed a small amount and cure some of the damages. This means that if the previous vehicle has suffered a blown out tire, it will get healed before the next round begin. The damage healing will add up even if the player's vehicle did not suffer any damages. This means that if the player is able to keep the vehicle some what intact for several levels, he will be able to defeat a RPG round even though the original vehicle can't. I.e., if vehicle is a Knoxville that have been upgraded at the shop, and kept from significant damages for the first 5 levels, and take a RPG shot in the sixth, then the Knoxville will be badly damaged, but not outright destroyed as with a regular vehicle.
Also, Bear is good choice for Drive-By, because it has perfect mounted gun on its roof and many hitpoints.
