The Convict is a vehicle in Saints Row 2.

OverviewEdit

The Convict is a large boat. It is the first boat in the game, but is uncommon in general and usually spawns away from land.

Randomly spawning variants spawn in the ocean and never spawns parked at any docks. They can be hijacked by either swimming on its way or use guided missiles of a Tornado and take out the driver with rockets.

Stilwater Police Department uses this boat for prisoner transport during "Jail Bait". They are black-grey and have "Stilwater Correctional" markings on the side.

To obtain it:

  1. Start "Jail Bait", either for first time or in a Mission Replay
  2. Destroy all three Warrants.
  3. Do not answer the ringing cellphone - answering the cellphone triggers the sequence and makes the Convicts impossible to steal.
  4. If playing a replay, start a replay in a replay.
  5. Head to the southern coast of Stilwater Penitentiary. Convicts are parked here.
  6. Hijack the vehicle and cancel the mission.

The Convicts in this mission are scripted with 9000 hitpoints, rather than the normal 45000, which stays after cancelling mission, and it is very easy to destroy it after obtaining it. Once the boat is saved and retrieved from the Garage, the hitpoints return to normal.

TriviaEdit

  • There is no Cheat for this vehicle in Saints Row 2.
  • The Convict is the heaviest vehicle in the game, along with the Skipper.
  • Although civilian variants exist, the name suggest that the boat is intended to be a prisoner transport, as the term means prisoner.
