Ball[3] is a vehicle in Saints Row: The Third.
Overview
The Ball vehicle is the large counterweight used in the mission The Belgian Problem.
There are two Balls defined by the game files, one used in the mission, and other related to an unused "Giant Ball Homie", which would have been a Ball Delivery Homie. This concept was eventually included in Genkibowl VII as Yarnie.
Yarnie is based on the Ball, and has the same handling statistics as the unused Homie-delivered Ball.
Trivia
- As with the Gawalek A36, the Ball is an incomplete vehicle not intended for normal use in the game and behaves erratically when added to the game by modifying the data files.
- The cheats file contains a disabled cheat "givesphere" which adds the Giant Ball Homie's "Sphere 2" to the Garage.[3]
- In real life Tuned mass dampers similar to this are used in skyscrapers to prevent swaying.
