Assassinations is a Diversion in Saints Row: The Third.^[1]

DescriptionEdit

Earn cash and respect by taking out certain people at the request of Saintsbook users. On any assassination mission, you may have to deal with a rival hitman or doubles. Rival hitmen will pop up at the same time the target does and will try to kill them before you can, causing you to fail the assassination. Either kill the target first or take out the other hitman. Doubles means 2 to 4 targets will pop up at the same time, but only one of them is the real target. The only way to know for sure is to either kill all the targets until you get the right one or, if the target shows up in a fixed location, you can deduce which is the real one.

• Rival Hitmen will have a 45 Sherpherd and 1500 Hitpoints
• When there are decoys, the real target has more health, so if their health goes down too easily, they are a fake.
• There are only 4 Targets available at a time.
• Killing a target will unlock a target at the next level. For instance, killing a level 2 target will unlock a level 3 target, and never another level 2 target.
• Targets from Rasputin, Kinzie, Zimos, Angel and Mrs. Vandergriff are unlocked in order.
• Targets from Angel, Kinzie and Zimos are only available after Return to Steelport

TriviaEdit

• The Achievement/Trophy "Everything is permitted" is a reference to a quote often attributed to Hassan-i Sabbah, the founder of historical order of Assassins: "Nothing is true, everything is permitted". As of late, the quote was particularly popularised by the Assassin's Creed series.
• The Mayor Reynolds assassination missions will not be available until the completion of Zombie Attack..
• Sgt. Steiner is a reference to the protagonist of Sam Peckinpah's film Cross of Iron.
• If the player uses the SA-3 Airstrike near Sgt. Steiner, the missiles will be redirected off the island instead of where they were actually targeted, missing Steiner completely.
• Rasputin can be explicitly seen shot and killed by Shaundi in the Power trailer. Then again, as he assumes a generic Morningstar model, it could be some other Morningstar.

Bugs/GlitchesEdit

• In co-op, if your co-op partner kills Lucas you may not be able to unlock the deckers outfit.
• If you started Act 2 before killing Harry for Mrs. Vandergriff then he will spawn in the river because the bridges have been raised.
• Zimos states that all hos work for Andre in Espina. It is true as the whores in Zimos' house are also considered as Andre's whores.
• Although Smoov is the pimp of the fat hos in Henry Steel Mills, in game there is no difference between fat hos and skinny hos. This contradicts with Smoov's contract that explicitly emphasises fat hos.
