"Weekend at Tera's" is the first of three missions in the Ultor Exposed DLC.

DING DONG DITCH
Stilwater Gazette newspaper headline

Overview[]

Knowing of the 3rd Street Saints' vendetta against Ultor, Tera meets Playa inside the Saints Hideout and tells them she knows about "some things Ultor wants to keep buried".[2]

Tera directs Playa to dig up several bodies around Stilwater that Ultor buried. Tera explains that she once worked as a microbiologist at The Pyramid, where Ultor were experimenting with nanites in the hope of increasing a miner's lung capacity, but she quit when she learned of what Ultor were doing to the volunteers. Tera asks Playa to drop the bodies off at Channel 6, where Jane Valderamma will run a report on the events and severely discredit Ultor.[3]

Story[]

Upon completion of the Mission, this description is available at Newspaper Clipboards.

The days of TPing and feces in a flaming bag are over. This morning, Channel Six was the victim of the latest childish prank spreading throughout Stilwater: body disposal. Hopefully this ghoulish trend of exhuming rotting corpses and leaving them for neighbors to find will be a short lived one.

Gameplay[]

The mission marker to start the mission is located at the Saints Hideout; it can be started anytime after completing "Three Kings".[4]

Get in the truck[5]

Use the provided Alaskan to drive to four separate locations to collect the six buried bodies.

The Alaskan must be used, entering any other vehicle shows a "This is the wrong vehicle" message.[6]

The vehicle can be damaged, but cannot be destroyed until the final objective.[7] Submerging it in water fails the mission, it is not possible to abandon it.

In Co-op and the Japanese PS3 version, a Stilwater Municipal is used in place of the Alaskan, with no visible bodies.[8]

The Alaskan can be kept by exiting the mission. Exiting the mission leaves Playa wherever they currently are.

Recover the first set of bodies[9]

A marker and path are shown on the map. Tera calls Playa within seconds of beginning to drive in the correct vehicle.

Kill the Ultor Guards[10]

Approaching the location in the correct vehicle from any direction triggers this objective. There are 3 Masako, who are counted on the HUD.

Recover the first set of bodies[11]

After they are killed the objective reverts to "Recover the first set of bodies", if the truck is parked close enough, otherwise there is a prompt to park the truck closer to the bodies.[12]

Standing in the marker with the truck parked close enough shows a prompt to press the Action button to dig up the bodies.[13]

Checkpoint
Get back in the truck[14]

If using the Alaskan, there are now 2 visible bodies in the back.

Recover the second set of bodies[15]

The second set of bodies are buried under the Abandoned Police Station.

Kill the Ultor Guards[16]

Approaching the location in the correct vehicle from any direction triggers this objective. There are 5 Masako, who are counted on the HUD.

Recover the second set of bodies[17]

After they are killed the objective reverts to "Recover the second set of bodies", if the truck is parked close enough, otherwise there is a prompt to park the truck closer to the bodies.

Standing in the marker with the truck parked close enough shows a prompt to press the Action button to dig up the bodies.[18]

Checkpoint
Get back in the truck[19]
Recover the fifth body[20]

The next location is on the other side of the freeway, but approaching it too closely before crossing the freeway triggers the next objective prematurely and give them a head start.[21]

Heading east before heading north to avoid triggering the next objective until the appropriate place, however it is possible to head further east, or west, and cross the freeway elsewhere before approaching the location.

The Ultor Guards have the body[22]

Upon nearing the third location, the Masako have already loaded the body aboard a Bear and attempt to escape.

Stop the APC without destroying it[23]

Chase after them and continue to shoot at the APC until its health empties. The APC does not fire back, and drives aimlessly around the Barrio district indefinitely. If it gets too far ahead, there is a timer to catch up, and not catching up in time fails the mission.[24]

Kill the Ultor Guards[25]

When the Bear stops, the Masako soldiers inside attack on foot. Kill them to get the fifth body.

There are 3 Masako, but any killed during the chase are not shown on the HUD when the Bear stops.[26]

Checkpoint
Get back in the truck[27]

Restarting at this checkpoint places Playa and the Alaskan at the APC's starting point behind Donnie's.[28]

Recover the last body[29]

The last body is located in the construction site in the south east corner of the Saint's Row district.

Kill the Ultor Guards[30]

Upon reaching the final location and triggering this objective, a Destroy flies across the sky to the south.[31][32]

There are 18 Masako. After the first 8 are killed, 3 more arrive in a Bear, as well as 3 in an Oppressor.[33][34]

If the guards are killed before triggering the objective, the HUD shows a total of 6, and the Bear and Oppressor are triggered immediately[35]

Recover the last body

After they are killed the objective reverts to "Recover the last body", if the truck is parked close enough, otherwise there is a prompt to park the truck closer to the bodies.

Standing in the marker with the truck parked close enough shows a prompt to press the Action button to dig up the bodies.[36]

Checkpoint
Dump the bodies at Channel 6[37]

Drive to Channel 6 headquarters in the Downtown district within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

The vehicle is no longer invulnerable, and has 30000 hitpoints.[38]

Bodies detach from the Alaskan at certain damage thresholds: 90%, 76%, 59%, 40%.[39] There is no notification when a body falls out, but the HUD counter decreases. The mission fails when the 4th body falls out, when the damage to the Alaskan reaches 40%.

In Co-op there is an extra 10 seconds. In Co-op, the dropped bodies become visible, but in the Japanese PS3 version they do not.

There is an automatic level 3 police notoriety, and normal police and ultor Notoriety spawning is enabled.

Success

Reach Channel 6 before the timer runs out to complete the mission.[40]

Failure

The mission can be failed by destroying the truck,[41] allowing the APC to escape,[42] losing too many bodies on the way to Channel 6,[43] or not reaching Channel 6 in time.[44]

Rewards[]

Trivia[]

  • The name of the mission is a reference to the film Weekend at Bernie's.
  • The bodies use the same models as the zombies in Zombie Uprising.
  • If the vehicle is submerged in water, the bodies briefly tread water before the mission fails.[45]
  • The Alaskan's doors and hood can be detached, but the tailgate cannot be.[46]
  • The Stilwater Municipal's torque is increased by x2.5, and the rear hatch is supposed to be impossible to detach, but in practice it can be.
  • Because there is a slight delay between a body falling out, and the counter updating, it is possible to lose the 4th body just before reaching Channel 6 and still complete the mission.
  • All Masako are loaded at the beginning of the mission, so it is possible to visit each location and kill all enemies immediately. The Bear is present at the third location, but cannot be entered or damaged.[47]
  • The Alaskan is Chop Shop variant which is featured on the Boost magazine in the Chop Shop menu.[48][49]

"The Enemy Of My Enemy" cutscene[]

Tera: "Hey, thanks for meeting me. I appreciate it."
Playa: "You kiddin' me? I'm not passing up a chance to hurt Ultor. Whatchu got for me?"
Tera: "I know about some things Ultor wants to keep buried."
Playa: "Honey, I got shit to do. I don't have time for poetics."
Tera: "Hey, who's being poetic? I'm talkin' about bodies."
Playa: "Well why didn't you say so?"
— "The Enemy Of My Enemy" cutscene

Gameplay[]

Tera calls Playa
Tera: "Hey, did you find the first body yet?"
Playa: "It's been, like... thirty seconds. What's the rush?"
Tera: "Well, I'd like you to find the damn things before a Masako team comes after me."
Playa: "How do you know about these bodies?"
Tera: "Does it matter?"
Playa: "Seeing as I'm about to get shot trying to get 'em, hell yeah."
Tera: "I used to work for Ultor."
Playa: "How? I didn't think Dane had girls like you on retainer."
Tera: "I worked at The Pyramid as a microbiologist, you judgemental prick."
Playa: "A what?"
Tera: "Read a book."
Playa: "What the fuck?"
Playa calls Tera on the phone
Playa: "Tera..."
Tera: "Calling to apologize?"
Playa: "What the hell did you do to these people?"
Tera: "I guess you found the first one, huh?"
Playa: "What was left of him..."
Tera: "Ultor's been experimenting with nanites. The hope was to find a way to increase a miner's lung capacity. When I saw what they were doing to volunteers, I..."
Playa: "I understand."
Tera: "When you get 'em all, drop the bodies off at Channel 6. Once the media runs this story, Ultor is finished."
— After recovering the first two bodies

Your Move, Valderamma" cutscene[]

Tera: "Did you have any problems?"
Playa: "Nothing I couldn't handle."
Tera: "Good."
Playa: "So now what?"
Tera: "We wait for Jane Valderamma to pick up the story."
Playa: "You think she's gonna run it? Channel 6 didn't exactly go crazy over the Zombie Lin story."
Tera: "No one cares about an undead gang member, but everybody hates a big corporation."
