Description

The Phoenix, a fast little car that doesn't compromise handling. It has an above average speed and the handling to suit. It is a common car in all games and spawns in almost every neighborhood.

Jessica's Phoenix

Jessica drives a special variant of the Phoenix in the mission "Bank Error in Your Favor".

The Shaft cannot tow Jessica's Phoenix during the mission.

It can be obtained during Single Player on the first play through or in a mission replay, using the "replay in a replay" method, or in Co-op.

  1. Play the mission as normal, until instructed to put Jessica in the trunk of her car.
  2. Before putting Jessica in the trunk, throw a Satchel on the back of her car.
  3. Stand in the marker, and press the buttons to detonate the charge and put Jessica in the trunk simultaneously.
  4. If this has been done correctly, the cutscene of putting Jessica into the trunk should play, with some effects of the explosion visible.
  5. After the cutscene, the Mission Failed screen is shown, exit the mission to keep the car.

In Co-op, a similar method can be used with the Guest throwing a Satchel Charge at Jessica while the host presses the button to put her in the trunk just as it lands on her.

The Bandit

The "Stunts" variant, named "The Bandit" on the unlock screen, is unlocked in the Garage by getting three gold Diversion stars for Near Miss, Oncoming Lane, and Big Air Driving Stunts.

The Bandit variant returns in Saints Row: The Third, Mayor Burt Reynolds drives this vehicle when he is called as a homie. This variant cannot be modified normally, but there is a Vehicle Customization glitch which allows non-customizable vehicles to be modified.

In both games, the name "The Bandit" is not displayed in the garage, the display name is still "Phoenix".
